The award is available to Home (UK), EU and overseas students who are entirely self-funded.It is not available to students who are fully or partly sponsored;
Limited scholarships are available and students are considered for their eligibility on a firstcome-first-servedbasis;
Only one scholarship award can be made per student and the award cannot normally be heldin conjunction with other University of Essex scholarships including the Alumni LoyaltyDiscount;
If you have been offered a scholarship but request to defer your entry, your scholarship offerwill be reconsidered in line with the terms and conditions that apply in the new year of entry;
The award is available to full-time students and also to part-time and modular students on apro rata basis.
Essex Business School could offer you a scholarship worth up to £5,000 to study an MBA at Essex University. Those who are interested in this scholarship must apply by 31 May 2017.
You will be interviewed by the MBA Director as part of our selection process. The MBA Director will assess you against the scholarship criteria and recommend you for an appropriate award.
The MBA Director will be particularly looking for evidence of:
- academic ability
- professional experience and career progression
- ideas on sustainable and entrepreneurial business
- ability to communicate experience and ideas
- plan for utilising the Essex MBA experience after the course
This scholarship is available to all MBA applicants, including those for the MBA Museum Management, provided you are funding your own studies. It is not available if you're fully or partly sponsored.
How do I apply?
You will be invited to interview as soon as possible after submitting your application. The MBA Director will assess you for a scholarship award during your interview. We strongly encourage you to apply by 31st May 2017 in order to ensure you are considered for an award.
How do you decide if I will receive a scholarship?
During your interview, the MBA Director will be particularly looking for evidence of: - Academic ability - Professional experience and career progression - Ideas on sustainable and entrepreneurial business - Ability to communicate experience and ideas - Plans for utilising the Essex MBA experience after the course The University will also make use of official transcripts and certificates, submitted as part of your original application for admission to the course, to decide the level of your award. No alternative supporting evidence will be accepted. The MBA Scholarships Panel will oversee the allocation of awards
