A C Rayner Memorial Scholarship for postgraduate study of economics - 2016 (New Zealand)

The Lincon Unniversity offers the A C Rayner Memorial Scholarship to encourage postgraduate study of economics. New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and international students are eligible to apply.

The scholarship offers one award and the application deadline is due on June 30, 2016.

Regulations

1. The award shall be known as the A.C. Rayner Memorial Scholarship.
   
   
2. Number and Value:
   • One scholarship shall be offered annually.  The current value is $1200.
     
     
3. Selection Criteria:
   1. The relevance of the planned research to economics or economic policy in New Zealand.
   2. Academic merit.
      
      
4. Selection Committee:
   • The convenor of the Lincoln University Scholarships Committee (or nominee)
   • Mrs E.H. Rayner (or nominee)
   • The Professor of Economics at Lincoln University (or nominee)
     
     
5. Tenure
   • The Scholarship shall be tenable for one year.
     
     
6. Deferral/Temporary Suspension of Study:
   • No deferment is available for this Scholarship.
   • Once the Scholarship has commenced, the Scholarships Committee may grant a temporary suspension of the Scholarship, for up to one year having taken into account the scholar’s circumstances and the progress of the study.
     
     
7. Payments: Full payment shall be made to the student by the Scholarships Office on notification from the Selection Committee of the successful applicant. 
   
   
8. Co-Tenure: The Scholarship may be held with any other scholarship, bursary, prize or fellowship, unless the conditions of the other award preclude it.
   
   
9. Application Process: Application forms are available from the Lincoln University Scholarships website. Applications must be submitted to the Lincoln University Scholarships Office by 4.30 pm on the closing date for the Scholarship.
