  • Command of English, duly accredited by submitting a certificate evidencing the applicant’sproficiency in a language other than mother tongue;

  • Self-regulation (high degree of discipline, responsibility, independence and tenacity) timemanagement;

  • Proficiency in processor of texts, internet and email;

  • Submit a copy of the degree or diploma;

  • Curriculum vitae, not documented;

  • Submit the completed application before the established deadline by the respective NationalOrganization (ONE).

The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) and International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (Centro Internacional de Estudios Interdisciplinarios - CIESI) offer scholarships to qualified candidates from the Americas to develop their professional development through the following program: Climate Change. Implications, Mitigation and Adaption in Tropical Forests. The application deadline is until December 23, 2016. CIESI will cover 50% of the total scholarship cost and the beneficiary will be responsible for the payment of 50% remaining, $500.00. Prices include diploma, certificate and shipping to their country of residence.

Eligibility Requirements:

- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of OEA’s Member State1 (Residents must send a copy of the visa). With the exception of Perú, since is the host country.

- Must have academic degree especially in Social Sciences, Biological Sciences and Engineering Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Biologists, Technicians, Communicators, Educators, Environmental Engineers, Architects, urban planners and other related careers). Anyone with an interest about the subject.

- One year of experience in the study field.

- Command of English, duly accredited by submitting a certificate evidencing the applicant’s proficiency in a language other than mother tongue. This mandatory requirement is strictly enforced, and we discourage applicants who do not fulfill this requirement, unless English is the mother tongue of the applicant.

- Self-regulation (high degree of discipline, responsibility, independence and tenacity) time management. Non-verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in processor of texts, internet and email.

- Submit a copy of the degree or diploma.

- Curriculum vitae, not documented (without any documents like certificates, diplomas, etc).

- Submit the completed application before the established deadline by the respective National Organization (ONE).
